Though it looks as if Guufu's embracing the flames with a first glance, on closer inspection I found a sense of... fear?... here as well.
Darkness surrounds him- despite the fire behind his figure- it makes my heart kick up a notch at his peaceful- yet focused- expression.
It looks like you had a little bit of trouble with the lighting and shading? But I think, in my opinion, you did very well on both accounts- despite the challenge of having two light sources as visually erratic as fire.
He is in fact embracing the fire, and controlling it-- but as we know fire cannot be easily controlled.
The darkness around him embodies the village or whatever burnt around him and there is a feeling of mourning, and darkness from within-- which is lit by the fire from within again.
THe fire from within brings peace and opportunity.
... TO WORDERFUL TO EXIST!!!! ;A; Its so epic i can even see the flames going out of my screen and entering my body... I CAN FEEL MYSELF ROASTING....
